$0.22 per pack of ramen seems pretty steep. I've seen "8 for $1" deals here in the Washington DC area.
at 400cal per pack, and 8 for $1.00, a few years ago some buddies and I figured out that ramen had the most cal/dollar density. More than 5lbs of sugar or even a gallon of canola oil.
I see you are buying sauce out of the can rather than the jar...college kids learn this early. surprisingly it tastes pretty good. time to read day 13.
Yeah... canned sauce is my fave!

Wow. Here in Edmonton, Canada, a dozen eggs is just over $2. I wish they only cost $0.59! I found when I was a student, the best thing to eat for a cheap dinner was 2 scrambled eggs, some rice, and a bit of frozen mixed veg. Toss in some seasoning, and yum. Seriously, I lived off the stuff for about 3 months.
